Meeteetse, WY

Meeteetse is a tiny frontier town of around 300 people tucked along the Greybull River in northwestern Wyoming. Located about thirty miles south of Cody, the town retains a classic Old West feel, complete with wooden boardwalks and historic storefronts. It grew out of the cattle boom in the late 1800s around the Pitchfork Ranch, and that ranching heritage still sets the rhythm of the community today.

Set between the Absaroka and Bighorn mountains, the surrounding landscape offers easy access to fly fishing, hiking, and big game hunting. Daily life revolves around a small collection of local businesses, community museums, and a single K-12 school that serves the entire valley. With Yellowstone about eighty miles away and Cody close enough for routine supply runs, it provides a quiet, neighborly lifestyle in the heart of Wyoming ranch country.
