Meire Grove, MN

Meire Grove is a small, quiet community surrounded by rolling farm country and wooded patches in western Stearns County. Situated right along State Highway 4, just two miles south of Melrose, the town has a peaceful rural atmosphere shaped by generations of dairy farming. It was originally settled in the 1850s by German immigrants, and that heritage is still evident today around the parish of St. John the Baptist, which has anchored the community for well over a century.

Much of the town's visual charm comes from historic brick houses built in the late 1800s, along with sprawling century farms dotting the outskirts. It is also home to the Meire Grove Band, a local brass band that has been playing concerts and parades across central Minnesota since the late nineteenth century. Residents enjoy a calm, slow-paced environment with very little traffic, while nearby Melrose and Interstate 94 provide easy access to grocery stores, schools, healthcare, and regional employers.
