About Midvale

Midvale sits near the center of the Salt Lake Valley, a position generally credited for its name. The Jordan River forms its western border, Interstate 15 bisects the city, and Interstate 215 marks the northern edge of its eastern side. Its 2020 population was 36,028. Midvale is one of the few Utah cities served directly by two TRAX light-rail lines: the Red Line stops at Bingham Junction, while the Blue Line serves Midvale Fort Union and Midvale Center. The Shops at Fort Union occupy the east side of the city, and the Bingham Junction economic center is on the west.
