About Midway
Midway is the incorporated Hot Spring County town identified by place code 45560, sitting in south-central Arkansas between the Ouachita River and Interstate 30. U.S. Route 67 runs through the southern part of town and crosses the Ouachita at Midway's southeastern edge. The town incorporated in 2000, and the 2020 census counted 377 residents. Friendship lies to the west, Donaldson to the east, and Social Hill is north across the river.
The town's layout is shaped by the meeting of highway and water. Midway Road and local streets connect homes and open country to U.S. 67, while the river gives the southeastern boundary a physical presence that most small inland communities do not have. Interstate access is available at Friendship and Social Hill, keeping Midway within reach of the wider Hot Spring County area without turning it into a highway town. It is a compact place with a clear identity: a small incorporated community on the road between the Ouachita crossing and the I-30 corridor.
