Millstadt, IL

Located just southwest of Belleville and about twenty miles from downtown St. Louis, Millstadt is a charming, close-knit village of around 4,000 people. The town was founded by German immigrants in the 1830s, and that heritage is still visible today in the well-preserved nineteenth-century brick buildings downtown and in popular community events like the annual Germanfest. As you move outward from the historic center, older homes give way to quiet residential subdivisions, local shops, and open Illinois farmland.
