Milton-Freewater, OR

Located in northeastern Oregon just south of the Washington border, Milton-Freewater offers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere surrounded by rolling hills and fertile farmland. Home to around 7,000 residents, the city began as two separate, rival settlements: Milton in 1872 and neighboring Freewater in 1902. The two communities eventually joined forces in the 1950s, combining their resources into the welcoming community found there today.
