About Minetto
Minetto is the hamlet and census-designated place at the center of Oswego County’s Town of Minetto, just south of Oswego on the Oswego River. The town was incorporated in 1916, and the local map is shaped by water: the river and Oswego Canal run alongside the settlement, while Town Hall, Minetto Elementary, small businesses, and the waterfront sit within the same compact area. Columbia Mills once made Minetto a company town; the former textile site remains part of that riverfront map. It is a small piece of the Oswego corridor, with town government, a school, and the canal landscape close together.
