About Montgomery

Montgomery is a village in the Fox River Valley, spanning parts of Kane and Kendall counties west of Chicago. The village sits on both sides of the Fox River, and its early history includes settlement by Jacob Carpenter and later industrial growth, including Western Electric's Montgomery Works plant. Today Montgomery blends older river-town pieces with subdivisions, schools, shopping, and commuter access. Montgomery Fest remains a visible local tradition, giving the village a civic rhythm beyond its suburban growth.
