Montpelier is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Muscatine County, Iowa, United States. The 2020 census counted 186 residents. The community is part of the Muscatine Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers of Muscatine County were natives of Vermont, and they chose the name after the capital of that state, Montpelier. Muscatine High School is the district's high school.
