Moody, AL

Moody is a St. Clair County city east of Birmingham, built along the Interstate 20 corridor. Founded in 1907 and named for local businessman Epps Moody, it has grown into a practical Birmingham-area community with schools, commuter access, and a mix of local employers. The Moody Bluegrass Festival gives the city a more specific local note, with music, food vendors, and arts and crafts. It is not a showy place, but it has a clear role as a growing small city near the metro edge.
