Moorhead, MS

Moorhead is a quiet, small-town community in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, located just east of Indianola where U.S. 82 meets Highway 3. The town holds a unique spot in blues folklore as the famous junction "where the Southern cross the Dog," referencing the historic crossing of two major rail lines. While those busy train days have settled, the restored depot and local markers still give the area a grounded sense of history.

Much of Moorhead's daily rhythm revolves around Mississippi Delta Community College on the east side of town, which draws students, faculty, and Trojan sports fans from across the region.
