Mormon Lake, AZ

Mormon Lake is a populated place in Coconino County, Arizona, situated south of the shallow lake that shares its name at an elevation of approximately 7,146 feet. The community was developed during wetter years when the lake level was higher, and is built around the historic Mormon Lake Lodge, which originally sat at the water's edge but now centers on a fishing pond adjacent to the lodge. Nearby docks stand far from the current, much-reduced shoreline. The area is served by the Flagstaff Unified School District.
