Moro, AR

Moro has a resilient history rooted in the Arkansas Delta. After a tornado swept through the original settlement in 1900, the community rebuilt around the arrival of the Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad in 1907. The new site quickly grew into a bustling farming hub, complete with brick storefronts, cotton gins, a depot, churches, and an agricultural school. By the time the town officially incorporated in 1914, it had become a lively center for Lee County families.

Although the trains stopped running decades ago and the old rail center is now a peaceful city park, Moro remains an active farming community. Positioned at the crossroads of Highways 78 and 238, the town supports everyday life with local agricultural suppliers, auto services, a branch bank, a small grocery, and a local restaurant. It offers a quiet, slow-paced lifestyle where residents share strong roots and a deep connection to the surrounding farmland.
