Morton, MN

Morton is a quiet town tucked into the bluffs of the Minnesota River Valley where Highway 19 meets Route 71. Life here moves at an easy pace, framed by wooded hills and rolling farmland. The area is famous for its distinctive pink-and-gray granite, called Morton gneiss, which is among the oldest exposed bedrock on Earth. Large stone outcrops rise directly beside the western entrance into town, giving the landscape a rugged, scenic character.
