About Moses Lake
Moses Lake is a central Washington city in Grant County, built around the long freshwater lake that gives the place its name. The city became a Columbia Basin hub after irrigation water from Grand Coulee Dam helped reshape the surrounding farmland. Its twentieth-century story also includes Moses Lake Army Air Base, later Larson Air Force Base, whose airfield became Grant County International Airport. Today Moses Lake mixes agriculture, transportation, recreation, and a wide-open high-desert setting.
