Mount Kisco is both a village and a town in Westchester County, with a compact downtown and a regional-service role for northern Westchester. The spelling Mount Kisco settled in after the local post office opened in the 19th century, and the Mount Kisco Municipal Complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
