Mulino, OR

Mulino is a small rural community in Clackamas County, set along Highway 213 between Oregon City and Molalla. Its roots trace back to an 1850s flour mill, with postal workers slightly altering the Spanish word for mill, *molino*, so mail wouldn't get mixed up with neighboring Molalla. Today, around 2,200 people call the area home, drawn to its open pastures, larger residential lots, and laid-back pace that still sits within reasonable reach of the Portland metro area.
