About Naranja
Naranja is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Miami-Dade County, about 25 miles southwest of downtown Miami. Its name comes from the Spanish word for orange, reflecting the orange groves that once grew in the area. Today Naranja is part of the fast-changing South Dade corridor, with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, residential development, local shops, and access to Homestead, Cutler Bay, and the Florida Keys route. It feels practical and inland, shaped by growth more than tourism.
