Negaunee, MI

Negaunee is a tight-knit Upper Peninsula town of around 4,600 people, tucked along the shores of Teal Lake in Michigan's scenic Marquette County. Founded in the 1840s as the birthplace of the region's iron mining boom, the town takes its name from an Ojibwe word meaning "pioneer." Today, that heritage shows in its walkable downtown along Iron Street, where historic brick storefronts house local pubs, diners, and independent shops.
