Nelson, AZ

Nelson is a small census-designated place in Pima County, Arizona, near the Tucson and Marana side of the county. It had 249 residents at the 2020 census and covers less than half a square mile, so the community is very small even by CDP standards. Nelson appeared as a named location as early as 1934 and was later designated as a CDP. It is served by the Marana Unified School District and has a residential desert-residential character.
