New Prague is a city straddling Scott and Le Sueur counties in southern Minnesota. Laid out in 1856 by Czech immigrants from Bohemia who named the town after their capital city, the community of approximately 8,200 hosts the annual Dozinky Czech Harvest Festival. Zoned within the New Prague Area Schools district, the city is bordered by Cedar Lake, which serves as a popular destination for boating, fishing, and recreation.
