Located in Marshall County about five miles southeast of Kingston, New Woodville is a quiet rural community home to just a few dozen people. The town has an interesting history; when the construction of Denison Dam created Lake Texoma in the 1940s and submerged the original townsite, residents relocated uphill to start over, bringing several homes and the cemetery with them. Today, New Woodville is a peaceful, secluded spot that gives residents plenty of elbow room and easy access to outdoor recreation around the lake.
