Newman, CA

Located on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley, Newman is a friendly farming town surrounded by orchards and open fields. The whole community turns out for a hometown parade, carnival rides, food stalls, classic car shows, and softball tournaments spread across local parks. Throughout the rest of the year, daily activities revolve around places like Pioneer Park, youth sports fields, the municipal pool, and the public library on Kern Street. Regional StanRTA buses do run daily to Patterson and Turlock, which is handy for students heading to Stanislaus State, but day-to-day life here definitely calls for a car.
