Newman, CA

Newman is a small Stanislaus County city on the west side of California's Central Valley. Its name honors Simon Newman, born Simon Neumann in Bavaria, whose business and land interests helped shape the community. Newman is known locally for its annual Fall Festival, a classic small-town event in an agricultural region. The city feels compact and practical, with schools, farm work, Highway 33 access, and a quieter valley pace than the larger cities on the east side of the county.
