North Augusta, SC

North Augusta is a South Carolina city on the Savannah River, directly across from Augusta, Georgia. It is part of the Central Savannah River Area and has always been shaped by that cross-river relationship. The city's development was pushed by James U. Jackson and investors who saw opportunity in building a planned community near Augusta. Today North Augusta has older neighborhoods, a historic district, riverfront trails, and access to regional jobs. It feels residential and civic, with Augusta's urban core just across the water.
