North Bend is a small King County city at the edge of the Seattle metro, set in the upper Snoqualmie Valley beneath Mount Si. It has deep roots in Snoqualmie homeland and later grew around settlement, logging, rail, and mountain-pass travel. Today it is known for outdoor access, the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail, nearby Snoqualmie Pass, and its familiar scenery from Twin Peaks. North Bend feels close to Seattle, but the mountains are the main presence.
