Quinnipiac University's North Haven campus concentrates five professional schools on 150 acres along Bassett Road. Students in medicine, nursing, health sciences, education, and law share a campus equipped with simulated operating and emergency rooms, imaging equipment, teaching laboratories, a courtroom, libraries, dining, and an auditorium. That makes graduate and professional education a visible part of town life rather than a remote institutional label. Just north of the campus, the 96-acre Wharton Brook State Park provides a pond beach, swimming, a hiking loop, picnic shelter, and fishing in one of Connecticut's designated trout parks. The North Haven Fairgrounds adds a Wednesday farmers market during the 2026 growing season. A July 2025 estimate placed North Haven's population at 24,799, about three percent above its 2020 estimate base.

Housing data for 2020 through 2024 showed 81 percent owner occupancy, a $393,200 median owner-occupied value, $2,461 in monthly owner costs with a mortgage, and $1,720 median gross rent. For 2020 through 2024, median household income was $132,689, poverty was four percent, workers averaged about 22 minutes of travel to work, people age 65 or older made up 22 percent of residents, and 18 percent of people age five or older spoke a language other than English at home. North Haven Memorial Library opens six days a week and two evenings. Its 2026 schedule ranged from drop-in technology help and book groups to teen clubs, children's play sessions, films, meditation, and Monday picnic performances on the front lawn.
