North Merrick, NY

North Merrick is a Nassau County hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Hempstead, just inland from Merrick on Long Island's South Shore. It is mostly residential, with the local experience built around neighborhood streets, schools, parks, and quick drives to nearby shopping and train access. The community has a quieter, more interior Long Island feel than the waterfront parts of Merrick, but it is still closely tied to the same South Shore orbit.
