Jericho Turnpike, Hillside Avenue, and New Hyde Park Road form the main framework for daily travel through North New Hyde Park. NICE buses run along all three corridors; the n25 links the two east-west roads with Long Island Jewish Medical Center and rail stations in Great Neck and Lynbrook. Its population was 15,657 in the 2020 census. Estimates for 2020–2024 found that 51.9 percent of residents were Asian, 36.5 percent were born outside the United States, and 46.2 percent of people age five and older spoke a language other than English at home. Jericho Turnpike also carries the Denton House, a circa-1875 town landmark whose preserved exterior now fronts a McDonald’s. Public recreation and library services cluster near New Hyde Park Road and Lakeville Road.

The Town of North Hempstead’s July 2026 schedule used the park for arts and crafts, pickleball sessions, a scavenger hunt, a home-run derby, and a touch-a-truck event, illustrating the range of programming beyond the pools. The medical complex, Tully Park, and the library function as practical centers within the road-and-bus network spread across this densely settled part of Nassau County.
