Northumberland is a borough in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, situated at the confluence of the north and west branches of the Susquehanna River. Established in 1772 by Reuben Haines and containing the historic Joseph Priestley House on Priestley Avenue, the residential community of approximately 3,866 at the 2020 U.S. census is served by the Shikellamy School District.
