About Northvale

Northvale is a residential borough in northern Bergen County, New Jersey, bordering the state line of New York. Formed in 1916 from the dissolution of Harrington Township, the community of approximately 4,800 is served by the Northvale Public Schools district for primary grades and Northern Valley Regional High School in neighboring Old Tappan. The borough borders the historic hamlet of Tappan, New York, and the enclave of Rockleigh.
