Nyack, NY

Nyack is a Hudson River village in Rockland County, on the west bank of the river north of New York City. Native American stone relics and oyster middens show how long the shoreline has mattered, and the village later became known for shipbuilding. Today Nyack is one of the livelier river towns in the lower Hudson Valley, with restaurants, shops, galleries, older houses, and views toward the Mario Cuomo Bridge. It feels creative, compact, and closely tied to both river history and city-region energy.
