About Oak Lawn

Oak Lawn is a Cook County village directly adjoining Chicago. First settled in 1835 and incorporated in 1909, it had 58,362 residents in 2020. Advocate Christ Medical Center is one of Illinois’s largest hospitals and a Level I trauma center, giving the village a substantial regional medical role. Oak Lawn also maintains 22 parks with facilities that include walking paths, athletic fields, pools, an ice arena, fitness centers, a racquet center, and a golf course. An expanded Metra station incorporates retail and office space as well as a children’s museum.
