Oakland is a town in Orange County, Florida, operating within the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford metropolitan area. During the Civil War, the local post office was the only one operating within present-day county limits. Home to approximately 3,646 residents, the town operates the Oakland Avenue Charter School and is served by Orange County Public Schools.
