About Ocean Grove

Ocean Grove is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Neptune Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey, situated on the Jersey Shore between Asbury Park and Bradley Beach. Founded in 1869 as a Methodist camp meeting community, Ocean Grove was designated a State and National Historic District in 1975 for its nineteenth-century planned urban character. The Great Auditorium has hosted distinguished performers including Enrico Caruso and John Philip Sousa, and the community is served by Neptune Township schools.
