About Odessa

Odessa is a Pasco County community north of Tampa, with a rural-suburban feel that has changed as the Tampa Bay region has grown outward. The area traces part of its settlement story to the Mobley family, who came from Savannah, Georgia. Odessa was also home to Tampa Bay Executive Airport until 2004. Today the community mixes lakes, horse properties, subdivisions, and new development, with access to Tampa, Trinity, and the Veterans Expressway. It still carries more open-land character than denser inner Tampa suburbs.
