Ogema, WI

Ogema got its start during the Northwoods logging boom of the late 1800s, when timber camps and railroad crews first carved a path into northern Wisconsin. Originally called Dedham, the community took the name Ogema in 1876, borrowed from an Ojibwe word meaning "chief." The early days were shaped by rugged winters, sawmills, and trains rolling through with supplies, laying the groundwork for a tight-knit rural settlement built to last.

Today, Ogema is a quiet, welcoming community centered around Highways 13 and 86, surrounded by deep forests and rolling farmland.
