Onaway, ID

Tucked right next to Potlatch along Highway 6, Onaway is a tiny community of around 200 residents in north Idaho's scenic timber country. It got its start in the 1880s as a stagecoach stop, but it really found its character when Potlatch was founded as a strict, dry company town. Mill workers would slip over to Onaway to grab a drink after work, telling their families they were 'on away' home. Today, it is a quiet, friendly place to settle down if you want rural living with an easy commute to Moscow.
