Oronoco is a city in Olmsted County, Minnesota, situated along the Middle Fork of the Zumbro River. Platted in 1855 and named by early settler Hector Galloway after South America's Orinoco River, the community of approximately 1,679 is served primarily by the Rochester Public School District for public education locally.
