Ouray is a home rule city and the county seat of Ouray County, Colorado, situated within the rugged San Juan Mountains. Reaching an elevation of 7,792 feet and widely nicknamed the Switzerland of America for its dramatic alpine scenery and hot springs, the historic mining community of approximately 985 is served by the Ouray School District.
