About Paden

Paden is a village in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, United States. The 2020 census counted 104 residents. An early settler of the area, Thomas Paden, built his home here, which he called Castle Garden. The establishment was burned by Union troops during the American Civil War and the area became known as Burnt Hill. Paden's local map joins its older history to the places and landscapes that still shape the town today, all within the wider Mississippi setting. The local scoop is how Paden's history still shows up in the places people visit, work, learn, and meet. Paden is on the north side of Mississippi Highway 30 northwest of Tishomingo. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway passes just west of Paden.
