Painesdale, MI

Painesdale is a quiet, tight-knit community tucked into Michigan's Copper Country, just a ten-minute drive south of Houghton. Built at the turn of the twentieth century as a planned town for the Champion Copper Mine, the area retains much of its original character, from historic company houses to its orderly street layout. Today, with only a few hundred residents, it offers a peaceful, scenic place to settle down while keeping you close to the Upper Peninsula's best outdoor recreation and Northwoods scenery.
