About Palos Heights

Palos Heights is a southwest suburban city in Cook County, set near the Cal-Sag Channel and the wooded Palos area. It incorporated in 1959 after several earlier attempts, and today it has the feel of a settled, residential suburb with parks, churches, schools, and local shopping rather than a dense urban center. Trinity Christian College gives the city a small college presence, while Moraine Valley Community College is nearby. The surrounding forest preserves and trails add a stronger outdoor dimension than many Chicago suburbs have.
