About Paris

Paris is a city and the county seat of Edgar County, Illinois, situated in the eastern part of the state near the Indiana border. Established in 1826 on land donated by Samuel Vance and historically home to a minor league baseball team called the Paris Lakers, the community of approximately 8,276 is served by Paris Union School District Ninety-five.
