About Park Crest

Park Crest is a census-designated place in Rush Township, Schuylkill County, tucked off Interstate 81 among the township’s hills, farms, villages, and scattered commercial strips. The 2020 count used for this tracker is 645 residents. Its boundary has a small piece of census history: Park Crest shared the Grier City–Park Crest designation in 2000, then became its own CDP when the Census Bureau split the pair for 2010. The interstate gives the community a direct line toward Tamaqua and the rest of the county.

Daily civic business sits with Rush Township’s three supervisors, who set ordinances, budgets, service levels, and township programs. The township’s landscape mixes residential pockets with farmland, light industry, and villages; Grier City Park projects have also brought attention to recreation improvements. For residents, Park Crest is the kind of place where the interstate, township hall, nearby schools, and county roads matter more than a separate downtown. The old combined CDP name still gives a clue to how closely it sits beside Grier City.
