Parkville, MD

Parkville grew outward from a small park laid out in the late 19th century between Harford and Old Harford roads. As electric streetcars began running in the early 1900s, Victorian homes, Craftsman bungalows, and classic American foursquares quickly filled the surrounding blocks. You can still see much of this early character today, especially around Taylor Avenue, where vintage single-family houses sit close to local businesses. The original park space and historic corridors remain central to the area, giving the neighborhood a grounded, established feel.
