About Patton Village
Patton Village is a Montgomery County city that grew out of a 1960s development east of U.S. 59. The community was named for its founder, Patton, and incorporated in 1966 while he remained involved in shaping the new municipality. By 1970, the city reported 667 residents; over the following decades it became part of the growing Houston-area web of bedroom communities. Today Patton Village sits in the Piney Woods region, about 20 miles southeast of Conroe and 32 miles northeast of downtown Houston. It is a small Texas city with a straightforward origin: a named development that turned into a municipality and then into a Houston-area address.
