Peggs, OK

Peggs is a small rural community of about 800 people in the hills of Cherokee County. Located along Highway 82 between Locust Grove and Tahlequah, the area is deeply rooted in Cherokee history and named for Thomas Pegg, who served as acting principal chief of the Cherokee Nation during the Civil War. It is the kind of place where neighbors know each other and wide-open countryside takes center stage.
