About Perryton

Perryton is a city and the county seat of Ochiltree County, Texas, situated just south of the Oklahoma border in the northern Panhandle. Established when the citizens of Ochiltree and Gray relocated to the railway to merge their towns, the community of approximately 8,585 hosts the Museum of the Plains and is served by the Perryton Independent School District.
