Picture Rocks, AZ

Picture Rocks is a Pima County census-designated place northwest of Tucson, near the Tucson Mountains and the west side of Saguaro National Park. It is better understood as a desert residential community than a traditional town center. The name fits the setting: the area is associated with rock art and the much-debated Tucson artifacts, while schools are part of the Marana Unified School District. The feel is rural-fringe Tucson, with desert space doing most of the talking.
