Pine Creek, MT

Pine Creek is a Park County census-designated place on the east side of Montana’s Paradise Valley, where Pine Creek joins the Yellowstone River. It had 80 residents in the 2020 census. Montana Secondary Highway 540 follows the valley, with Livingston about eleven miles north and Pray about eleven miles southwest. Pine Creek Road crosses the Yellowstone to U.S. 89, the main route through the valley. The settlement’s geography is simple and strong: one creek, one river junction, a highway on the east bank, and the long mountain valley beyond.

Pine Creek’s school district gives the community a local institution of its own. Pine Creek Elementary serves younger students, and the Park High School district connects older students with Livingston Public Schools.
